It’s always fascinating to be a small piece of an enormous work, such as This is Reading. For months, you hear bits and bobs about the grand scheme but focus only on your tiny piece. This past weekend, we saw it all come together at Franklin Street Station.
In this episode — recorded live at Joe’s Pub in NYC — Brandon Miller plays a lawyer from the Justice Department who specializes in organized crime. He discusses how he got into his field and some of the criminal schemes he has encountered in the courtroom. He also talks about the relationship between cooperation and American culture. Alix Lambert conducted the interview on which this monologue is based for her play “Crime, USA.”
