We continue our exploration of death in this episode of the Civilians’ podcast, which was recorded during a live performance at Joe’s Pub in NYC. Here, actors perform monologues based on Ian Daniel and Jay Stull’s interviews with people who regularly encounter death on the job. Emily Rossell plays an ER doctor from the Bronx, Nina Hellman plays an ER nurse from the Midwest, and Dan Domingues plays Brooklyn funeral home owner Andrew Anastasio. At the end of the episode, Rossell and James Rickman sing a murder ballad written by Michael Friedman.
