It’s always fascinating to be a small piece of an enormous work, such as This is Reading. For months, you hear bits and bobs about the grand scheme but focus only on your tiny piece. This past weekend, we saw it all come together at Franklin Street Station.
In the third episode of our series on the LGBTQ community — recorded live at the Barrow Theater in NYC — actors Samira Wiley, Matt Maher and Brad Heberlee perform scenes based on interviews conducted by Maher and Donnetta Lavinia Grays, including one from the vaults. Also, Jill Sobule sings “Cigarette Burn” from “Times Square,” the musical she wrote with Robin Eaton and Jim Lewis.
