Introducing Extended Play’s New Advisory Board

Meet the new creative minds supporting Extended Play.

Extended Play grows every day in an effort to further explore unique intersections of contemporary theater and society. As we expand, our network of perspectives, contributors, and thought-partners must develop with us. On that note, we are thrilled to present Extended Play’s new advisory board: a team of eleven skilled dramaturgs, academics, and artists from around the world. This board will act as creative partners, provide their expertise, and bring new, exciting work to Extended Play.

Meet Extended Play’s new advisory board.

Our new advisory board includes:

Aaron Landsman, writer, organizer, and performance maker.

Antony Lioi, a professor of English at the Juilliard School in New York.

Bertie Ferdman, associate professor at Borough Manhattan Community College.

Carol Martin, Professor of Drama at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.

Eric M. Glover, an assistant professor adjunct of dramaturgy and dramatic criticism at Yale, where he is an expert on black musical theater.

Friðrik Agni Árnason, project manager of the Reykjavík Arts Festival, a multidisciplinary arts festival that takes place biannually in Iceland.

Jan Cohen Cruz, writer of Local ActsEngaging Performance, and Remapping Performance, editor of Radical Street Performance, and, with Mady Schutzman, co-editor of Playing Boal and A Boal Companio.

Jazmin Llana, a professor of drama, theatre and performance studies at the Department of Literature at De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.

Milo Rau, a director, author, and artistic director of NTGent in Belgium.

Paul Bonin-Rodriguez, an Associate Professor in the Performance as Public Practice Program at the University of Texas at Austin, and the founding Chair of the undergraduate Minor in Arts Management and Administration.

Sonja Kuftinec, Professor of Theatre at the University of Minnesota.

    Phoebe Corde (she/her) is a dramaturg, writer, and illustrator from Westport, Connecticut, specializing in stories of the strange, the magical, and the otherworldly. Before becoming Literary Associate for The Civilians, she was New Work Development Assistant at The Public Theater, where she provided dramaturgical notes and creative support to shows like Ain’t No Mo’, Wild Goose Dreams, and Disney’s Hercules. She has a BFA in Creative Writing from Connecticut College, where she was awarded the Sally Abrahms Prize in Fiction, and has been published by Odyssey and Cadenza Magazine.
