R&D Program Director Megan McClain interviews Associate Artist Rebecca Hart about her project with composer David Kornfeld being developed in the Civilians R&D Group. Based partly on their own neurodiverse lives, the work asks questions about creativity, sanity, and what we consider "normal."
How do we deal with the pressures of modern society? This week’s episode features interviews with people who employ different strategies for escaping their lives, including running away, doing drugs, attempting suicide, and practicing hot nude yoga. Billy Eugene Jones plays a former mole person who lived in the New York subway tunnels in the 1980’s; Dan Domingues plays the founder of hot nude yoga; Daoud Heidami plays a New Jersey State Trooper; and Michael Esper sings “Lost Horizon,” which Michael Friedman wrote for our play “Gone Missing.”
