This new podcast series from the Civilians features live recordings from a show we produced at Joe’s Pub in NYC called “Sex Variants 1941,” which drew inspiration from Dr. George W. Henry’s medical study, “Sex Variants: A Study of Homosexual Patterns.” Throughout the series, actor Trey Lyford plays Dr. Henry, quoting directly from “Sex Variants.”
In this episode, Nina Hellman and Brandon Miller play actual study participants, Grace McLean performs her song “(not) Normal” and Brandon Davidson sings Tim Acito’s “I Have Had the Earth.”
